In the domain of the exoteric church, it was apparently generally presumed (among its original creative leadership) that all mysteries and legends must be "concretized" into a story (or an inspiring doctrine) about Jesus as the "Heavenly Messiah” . . . whereas the original esoteric mysteries and mystical Teachings of Christian gnosticism (which may, in various modes and sayings, correspond to Jesus' own Teachings) invariably communicate a Message about the Spiritual (or "Spirit-Breathing") Awakening of every individual. . . . Therefore, the core of the esoteric Christian Teachings is that Salvation (from "possession" by cosmic Nature, by the human world, and by fear of death) is Realized by Means of "Spiritual rebirth" (or Absorption In--and, thus, participatory knowledge of--the inherently deathless and Free and Divine Spirit-Power, or "Breath-Energy", of Being).
