Hers To Me

by Naamleela Free Jones.

This is the first CD Naamleela recorded as a birthday gift to Adi Da Samraj in 1997. Her playing is refined, sensitive, and an enjoyment to listen to.

The music of Naamleela Free Jones reflects a sacred orientation unique in today's world. From the inception of her musical life, at the age of five, Naamleela has had the repeated opportunity of playing for her Spiritual Master and Father, Adi Da Samraj. In fact, Naamleela has always played the piano as a devotional offering to Adi Da, and all of the pieces on this album are ones she has played for Him. This initial compilation of Western Piano Classics was recorded as a gift to Adi Da Samraj in April of 1997 in one day. Two additional pieces were recorded in April of 1999 and have been added to this second edition of the album.

Music works upon our nervous system, our feeling of life, and creates a symphony out of our emotion. In other words, a summary of feeling is somehow gestured out of us through the impact of music, whereas a note-by-note analysis of it would have no meaning. You cannot somehow find out how music has that emotional effect. It is more magical, more arbitrary, more free than that.
